Modern Organic Kitchen Renovation: Los Angeles Project

Natural Oak
Custom raised-panel cabinetry in natural, unstained oak brings warmth and grain texture to the kitchen, paired with a stainless farmhouse-style apron sink.
Sage Green
Island A floor-to-ceiling painted island in a soft sage green anchors the room, topped with a marble-look waterfall countertop and three ribbed glass globe pendants.
Open Concept
Wood-framed multi-panel folding doors connect the kitchen and great room to the backyard, while wide-plank natural oak flooring carries the palette throughout.

A Modern Organic Kitchen Built Around Natural Materials
This Los Angeles kitchen pairs natural, unstained oak cabinetry with a single bold color move a sage green island finished in a waterfall-edge marble-look countertop. Three ribbed glass globe pendants hang above the island, echoing the organic, hand-finished feel of the cabinetry below. A stainless farmhouse sink and wide-plank oak flooring keep the palette warm and grounded, while wood-framed folding glass doors open the kitchen directly onto the backyard, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor living.

The renovation reworked the kitchen layout around a single sage green island, replacing a closed-off plan with an open sightline into the adjoining great room. Custom oak cabinetry runs floor-to-ceiling along the perimeter, with dedicated panel-ready niches for major appliances and a farmhouse sink positioned beneath a garden window.

From Bare Treads to a Finished Oak Staircase
The staircase was framed and finished on site in the same natural oak that runs through the kitchen and the flooring. The first image shows it mid build with the treads bare and the surrounding walls still unfinished, and the second shows the completed run with the balusters and handrail set and daylight coming through the arched entry door.
We wanted a kitchen that felt warm and natural but still current, and Denali nailed it. The natural oak cabinetry paired with the sage green island came out beautifully, and the open layout connecting to the backyard completely changed how we use the space. Thoughtful, professional, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
